Description
Fat Albert Blue Spruce is a superior cultivar of Colorado Blue Spruce with consistent silver-blue color and a an exceptionally uniform habit. It is slower growing than the Colorado Blue Spruce. Its height in a 10 year peroid can achieve 10-15' with a 7-10' spread. It can ultimately reach 25-40' if planted in an ideal situation. Although its soil preference is moist, but well drained, fertile soil; it can withstand drought once it is established. It must have good drainage.
Sub suggestion: Picea pungens f. glauca, Picea puntens var. glauca 'Hoopsi'
